Lang geleden, midden jaren 80 reed de vriendelijke buschauffeur Harrie Verhoeven uit Veghel dit model bus bij de BBA. De 900 serie was toen splinter nieuw maar Harrie gaf de voorkeur aan de oudere modelen, ook de voorloper van deze reed in 1983 nog net. Vaak had ik hem smorgens naar eindhoven. Hij was toen begin 50 en heeft toen een hart infarct gekregen en is toen helaas van de bus af gehaald. Hij is inmiddels al weer een jaar of 7 dood maar ik denk nog steeds wel eens aan hem. Meest vriendelijke buschauffeur in die tijd in de regio Veghel-Uden.

ja deze mooie 240 serie is erg sterke en heeft een goede motor nu zal deze lok een sterke CATERPILLAR MOTOR gekregen hebben dan hebben ze meer kracht dan de motoren die gebouwd zijn in Frankrijk waar deze lok vandaag komt net zoals de eerste a 1100 serie kleur groen heel jammer dat ze bijna er niet meer zijn alleen bij andere stichtingen en spoorwegmuseum

Wat jammer dat deze reeks geen 6HP versie had (met zes trappen)! Maar dit is zéker beter dan de Voith op de eerdere levering! Nòg beter was een I-shift volautomatische transmissie! Die D7C-krachtbron met "slechts" 290PK moest behoorlijk wat vermogen verzetten! Wel mooi geluid voor zo'n compacte Volvo-krachtbron!

Goedemorgen NovioSites. Wat een mooie rit was dat. Die dingen hadden echt een prachtig geluid. Ik had even een aparte vraag. Ik ben bezig met een video over mijn eerste 10 jaar in Amsterdam periode 2013 - 2023. Van alle bussen die in amsterdam gereden hebben heb ik een rit video gemaakt behalve van de gelede jonckheer zoals deze omdat ik in die tijd nog geen ritten opnam. Terwijl ik er in mei 2014 wel afscheid van heb genomen. Mijn vraag was of ik een minuut van deze rit video zou mogen gebruiken voor mijn jubileum video die eind November klaar is. Het stuk dat je helemaal achterin zit en het uitstappen en wegrijden. Uiteraard zet ik je naam eronder want ik ga natuurlijk niet pronken met een opname die niet van mij is. Als je dit liever niet hebt kan ik dat ook wel begrijpen want ik ben tenslotte een vreemde. maar dan heb ik het in ieder geval wel gevraagd. Groetjes Leroy Martha.
